Taking our inspiration from the creativity of the city that surrounds us – and picking up where the original Summerhall Brewery est. 1700s left off – at Barney’s Beer we simply aim to make beers we are proud to share.

Using only the best ingredients and a mix of traditional and modern techniques and processes, Barney’s Beer has been supplying Edinburgh’s bars, restaurants and bottleshops for over a decade.

From hop forward pale ale and IPA to clean sours, red ales and classic bitter; our open-minded approach means our ambitions lie only in improving and building upon our own skills and craft as opposed to growth at any cost.

With our Post mortem Range we push boundaries, and our brewkit, beyond the norm. Allowing us to dissect and examine unique styles of beer and experiment with unusual processes or ingredients from mixed fermentation ales and barrel-aging to bold imperial stouts and flavour combinations.
